π In the beginning of October, from the 2nd to the 4th, in Lisbon, took place the local event “Actively Critical, Critically Active”.
π‘ This event came as a result of an international Youth Exchange held in MΓΌhlhausen, Germany, in August.

π It was hosted by Associação FortΓ©s Sempre, in coordination with our local partner Associação Descoberta de Momentos, and Culture Goes Europe, from Erfurt. The activities took place in the facilities of CNAIM, in Lisbon.
π Throughout the sessions, the main focus was kept on critical thinking and active participation in the local community.
π₯ The participants were all local youth, who are engaged in some sort of local activism, or interested in following this path, learning more about how this increasingly technological word we live in can impact their lives and the community that surrounds them.

π₯ We had several workshops that delved into different – but relevantly connected – topics.
π° There were workshops on fact checking and fake news detection; the importance of media literacy and youth participation in decision-making; and, of course, a workshop on European values and mobility opportunities, focusing especially on Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps.
π« All in all, it was an event that brought up lots of knowledge, sparked interesting discussions, and raised awareness on the topics addressed – through the workshops tailored to the participants – and that will have a lasting impact on the local community.
